Albizia julibrissin (Persian Silk Tree) Ernest Wilson Variety - 10 Seeds

10 seeds.  Also known as mimosa tree and many other names.  Genetics are from the Ernest Wilson variety which is more cold hardy and smaller than other varieties.  Homegrown seed.  Collected in 2025.  Germination has not been tested yet on this batch, but previous batches have had a 90% germination rate.
 
Stratification:  Not required.  No cold stratification is necessary for germination.
Scarification:  Improves germination.  Scarify with sandpaper for better results.  Or alternatively, soak in hot water (initial temperature of 120–140°F / 50–60°C) and let sit for 12–24 hours.
Sowing Depth:  ¼″ deep in well-draining seed-starting mix.
Moisture:  Keep soil lightly moist, not soggy.
Temperature:  75–85°F (21–29°C) for best results.
Germination Time:  3-12 days, longer if unscarified.

Perennial
Hardiness Zones:  6-9.
Water Requirements:  Low-Medium (somewhat drought tolerant, but does seem to prefer a little more water or a lower spot in the landscape).
Sun:  Full sun to part sun.
Habit:  Tree.
Leaf Retention:  Deciduous (loses leaves in winter).
Size:  15-25 ft tall.
