Also known as White Milkweed.  5 homegrown seeds.  Collected in Dec 2025.  Germination rate on this batch was 73%, tested on 4-16-26.
 
Stratification:  Optional, cold stratification may improve germination.
Scarification:  No. 
Sowing Depth: ⅛″ to ¼″ deep in well-draining seed-starting mix.
Moisture: Keep soil lightly moist, not soggy.
Temperature: 70–80°F (21–29°C) for best results.
Germination Time:  7-40 days (most have sprouted for me in the first 2 weeks).

Hardiness Zones:  8-10.  
Water Requirements:  Low (drought tolerant).
Sun:  Part sun to part shade. 
Habit:  Semi-woody and herbaceous.
Leaf Retention:  Deciduous (top dies back in winter).
Size:  2 ft tall.
Wildlife:  Attractive to butterflies, native bees.  Host (larval): Monarch (Danaus plexippus) and queen (Danaus gilippus).  Aphids are normal on milkweeds and won't harm the plant.
